Dear Potential 2023 NCW VOLUNTEERS,
Ladies and gentlemen, the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) Edmonton Section needs volunteers for its National Chemistry Week (NCW) exhibit on Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15, 2023 at TELUS World of Science: 11211-142 Street NW.
An NCW participant volunteers for a 3-hour shift at the CIC Edmonton Science booth. All training in the reactions and demonstrations are provided when you arrive. You do not need to bring any supplies.
You will:
· receive an NCW periodic table T-shirt, and
· earn the gratitude of the local Section of the CIC for demonstrating simple chemistry to kids at TWOS.
Volunteers: Arrive 5 minutes before your shift – you’ll find the NCW exhibit on the ground floor on the right just as you enter – no entry fee.
The shift times are as follows:
Saturday Oct 14 – TELUS World of Science, 10:30 – 16:00 hours
Shift 1: 10:30 – 13:30 hours 8-Volunteer spots
Shift 2: 13:00 – 16:00 hours 8-Volunteer spots
Sunday Oct 15- TELUS World of Science, 10:30 – 16:00 hours
Shift 1: 10:30 – 13:30 hours 8-Volunteer spots
Shift 2: 13:00 – 16:00 hours 8-Volunteer spots
